| Masevičius company ‘Girios' was founded in 1990. The main activities of the company are procurement, handling and sales of berries and mushrooms. | ||||

The company buys, processes and sells ca. 5000 t of output annually. The main production is frozen bilberries up to 3000 t per annum, frozen boletus up to 300 t per annum, fresh chanterelle up to 500 t per annum. | ||||

Company sells its production to clients in Western Europe, Scandinavian and Asian countries. Ca. 30 percent of raw material is purchased in Lithuania; the remaining part is imported from Russia, Belarus and Ukraine from ecologically clean territories. Purchased berries and mushrooms are frozen. The frozen berries are mechanically processed and sorted with an electronic equipment of cleaning the berries to provide the highest quality product. The products are pre-packed accordingly to the requirements of the clients. Whole production is checked with a metal detector. | ||||
| Since 2008 a safe food handling system compliant with the LST EN ISO 22000:2005 requirements was introduced. | ||||
